Thoroughly enjoyed our guided group climb up Ben Nevis with guide Mark. Communication beforehand was great, Mark was so friendly and knowledgeable during the climb, pacing us well with regular breaks and full of interesting facts about the mountain and surrounding area. We got lucky with the weather and views were stunning.

I climbed Ben Nevis with these guys back in June, Mark and Josh were our guides going up the mountain. There was nothing too hard for them, they chatted, and we had breaks climbing up. These guys are fantastic; I can't praise them enough.I fell coming back down through being too hot, Mark and Josh were there within seconds making sure I was ok. Other people in our party helped too and they made sure we got down safely. This is the second time I have been up a mountain with them, last year was Scafell Pike. Gary was the guide, and he was superb.
I'm recommending RAW Adventures to my friends and family, if you want the best, then choose RAW Adventures because I will!

Didn't really know what I was paying for when I signed up to do a charity climb of Ben Nevis. I was just told I would need to register with them and pay the £57 fee.I received advice and information on what I needed to do to prepare for the day along with a kit list. Having never done a climb so high I was a little surprised at what I needed, after all it was the end of May! Pleased I took notice!
We were a group of 12 and were assigned 2 guides, Ash and Kat. We met at the visitor centre and after a kit check and safety talk covering what to expect we set off. So pleased we had both guides who were excellent. Quarter of the way up 2 of the group needed to return to the base, one of the guides took them down which was a challenge and took considerable effort and care. The rest of the group continued. At the 3/4 point another member decided not to continue.
The weather was starting to turn for the worse and it was agreed that she would head down alone and Ash the guide who returned to base with the other 2 would come back up to meet her the rest of the group continued with Kat in atrocious conditions and poor visibility. Just before the summit Kat gave us another safety briefing as we were about to go into the most dangerous section.
I am pleased someone had taken the decision to do this climb with RAW Adventures as I would not have felt confident going up the last section without a guide and I am pretty certain others would have turned back. We made it - Kat made sure we enjoyed it and captured our moments along the way. Everyone home safe and proud. Money well spent.
